Terrazza panoramica: presentazione azienda e contesto storico. La terrazza si trova all’ultimo piano della cantina ed è stata concepita per avere le funzioni di un’aia. Si affaccia sul vigneto di Porta e sulla Valdelsa, nella quale si staglia netto, incorniciato dai cipressi, il profilo delle torri di San Gimignano. Quì avviene il benvenuto e i primi racconti sulla storia locale e della nostra famiglia.
Passeggiata in vigna: fondamenti di agricoltura biologica e rigenerativa
Visita della cantina storica: fondamenti di vinificazione naturale. Create dopo l’acquisto della Fattoria, sono costituite da due corpi principali: Il tunnel scavato nel 1870 nell’arenaria sotto il paese di Vico, dove i vini destinati alla riserva riposano in botti da 350 l e da 500 l di rovere dell’Allier. Le naturali condizioni di umidità e le basse temperature garantiscono l’ambiente ideale per la maturazione dei vini. La cantina, eretta nel 1920 ospita i tini in acciaio per l’affinamento e l’assemblaggio, l’impianto di imbottigliamento e nei piani superiori il magazzino dell’imbottigliato ed il granaio.
Visita di Villa Guicciardini, dell’antico frantoio e del suo giardino: Nei piani superiori della Fattoria, situata all’estremità Sud Est del paese di Vico, vi è l’appartamento nobile, dove vivevano le famiglie patrizie che ne sono state proprietarie. Vi invitiamo ad un viaggio nel tempo per rivivere gli ambienti della società aristocratica toscana.
Da una sala più piccola si arriva al cuore della casa, si accedea una minuscola e prodigiosamente affrescata cappella. Opera di un eccellente pittore seicentesco, Giovanni Mannozzi da san Giovanni, è dedicata alla Madonna ed agli episodi della sua vita, ritratti in sei affreschi maggiori ed altri di minori dimensioni.
I paesaggi raffigurati hanno un’aria stranamente familiare, sono infatti località dei dintorni che incorniciano queste immagini sacre.
Il Giardino: Un piccolo eden in cui pergolati fioriti, piante aromatiche ed alberi da frutto si susseguono in un gioco di profumi e colori. Vi risiede da più di cinquanta anni una colonia di tartarughe completamente autosufficienti, che lo animano dalla primavera all’autunno mentre nei mesi più freddi trascorrono il letargo in tane sotterranee. Dal giardino si gode una splendida veduta sulla Valdelsa, sulla quale vigilano fiere le torri di San Gimignano.

Wir hatten eine private Führung die uns von unserem Airbnb Host empfohlen wurde. Es war super interessant, wir haben sehr gute Einblicke erhalten. Die Familie liegt sehr viel Wert auf nachhaltige Produktion was uns sehr beeindruckt hat. Die Weinproduktion hat eine langjährige Familiengeschichte. Wir wurden durch das Weingut geführt sowie den Weinkeller. Anschließend haben wir noch eine Führung durch das Gebäude erhalten welches seit vielen Generationen der Familie gehört und viel Geschichte erzählt. Das abschließende Essen mit lokalen Produkten und 4 Weinen aus deren Produktion war ein perfekter Abschluss mit schönem Ambiente.

I recently visited the Fatorria Majnoni Guicciardini winery as a couple and I must say it was a truly exceptional experience. From start to finish, it was a 5-star experience that exceeded all my expectations.
Our guide, Cesare, was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about the art of winemaking. He took the time to explain the entire process, from the vineyards to the cellar, and shared fascinating insights into the history and traditions of the winery. It was evident that winemaking runs deep in the family, as the business has been passed down through generations.
Cesare was patient and attentive, answering all our questions with enthusiasm. He made us feel welcome and engaged throughout the tour.
During the visit, we had the opportunity to sample 4 of their exquisite wines. Each one was a delight to the senses, showcasing the craftsmanship and dedication that goes into every bottle. In addition, we were treated to a selection of cheese and cold cuts, accompanied by a delicious fig jam, bread, and olive oil. It was the perfect pairing to complement the wines and added an extra touch of indulgence to the experience.
One aspect of the winery that truly fascinated us was its rich history. The visible repairs from World War II added an intriguing layer of historical significance. It was a reminder of the resilience and determination of the family to continue their winemaking legacy despite the challenges they faced.
Overall, we highly recommend visiting the winery. The combination of a passionate guide like Cesare, exceptional wines, and a deep sense of history make it a must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts and history buffs alike.

For a wine tasting and lunch experience, this is a 10 out og 10 rating. We were given a excellent lecture in how the wine were produced as well as an insight into the history of the area. We also enjoyed very much the tour of the historical villa that was part of the farm. It was topped with a great lunch and wine tasting session. It all took place in a beautiful cellar that was previously used for pressing olives. The atmosphere, the wines and the lunch buffet was just perfekt. And we had plenty of time to enjoy the whole experience.
