My workshop will welcome you to spend three pleasant hours learning the basic techniques of hand weaving.
I will show you how to assemble a warp on a vertical loom (you will use my loom directly) and after choosing the materials, I will guide you in learning the technique of the canvas, and possibly other easy techniques and you will begin to weave a small fabric.

At the end of the weaving you will decide to transform your artifact into an object of your choice between a large bow to put in your hair or to use as a brooch, or a glasses case, a phone holder or a purse.
You will have access to high quality materials: pure wool, mohair, cashmere, silk etc.
During the activity, drinks, tea, coffee and small pastries will be available.
The laboratory is located in the center of Colle di Val d’Elsa near the nineteenth-century square redesigned by Jean Nouvel and a stone’s throw from the lift that leads to the medieval village.

Lucia Boni has been designing and manufacturing hand-woven jackets, coats, capes and accessories on a very simple vertical tension loom since 1978, using the tapestry technique. The combination of colors and the use of precious materials, mainly mohair, are the result of personal research that gives rise to an original and precious product.

In addition, the manual processing of the single garment allows the creation of unique, personalized and made-to-measure pieces.

In 1990 she collaborated in the film “Hamlet” by Franco Zeffirelli creating some costumes for the protagonists.

She is invited to participate in personal exhibitions in Italy and abroad (USA, Japan, Paris etc.).
